Costume
In some genres, costumed heroes can live a life all of their own, separate from their non-costumed identities, and the following schticks represent this. A character with any Costume schtick will never be recognized out of costume, unless it is essential to the plot or the character has the Secret Identity flaw. Bulletproof NudityYou go into battle with way too little clothes for common sensibilities. Naturally, you cannot wear any armor, but your dishabille (with a few accessories) can count as a costume for the other variants of the Costume schtick. This is highly distracting. You never take more Wound Points from any attack than the Outcome of that attack. Does not protect against area attacks, and creatures immune to the seduction skill are immune to this effect. Bulletproof Nudity builds on surprise and shock, and these effects wear off after a while. Thus, you can only use it for one Sequence per session per schtick pick you have in Bulletproof Nudity. Sequences when you could not affect anyone does not count, but otherwise this power activates in any combat Sequence you are naked, so it might be wise to strip only for the more important fights. Stripping down in combat is a 3-shot action if you wear normal clothes; less for cloaks or gimmick suits. Caped CrusaderYou wear a big cloak, cape or mantle, that does not encumber you at all, and that can help you with a variety of stunts. It can break a fall, make gliding jumps and you can use it to confuse attackers. All these stunts get a +5 bonus (noncumulative with the usual +3 for an active defense). The cape can be used in stunts against you. CatsuitYou have some special camouflage outfit, that not only conceals your identity, but also let's you blend in with the background. In dark areas or under cover, you can sneak as if you were skilled in Intrusion, using your highest skill value. You cannot perform any other Intrusion-related tasks, nor can you sneak in a brightly lit, open area. Heroic IdentityYou have a costumed identity that is a well-established hero. Few people will question your right to investigate things, bear arms or ask pointed questions. You can also gain access to places and people unavailable to the general public. Police and other law enforcement figures will often cooperate with you, but not always. People will not question who you are in costume. Over time, your costumed identity has built an identity and reputation of it's own. You can make two contacts checks for a skill, one for your mundane identity and one for your costumed identity. People will also turn to your costumed identity for help. You need not purchase this schtick to gain access to places your job ought to give you access to. Cops usually get access to crime scenes, military officers can get into military bases. But with Heroic Identity, you can get into either.
