Space Opera Weapons

These are futuristic weapons, built using technology far beyond that of earth. They are not graded, except for the notes of their origin realities in TORG.

Bloody Card™

Pocket, slick

Cybercritters

A vibro-modified card, sized as a business or credit card, with built-in robot brain and electrostatic propulsion. It is designed to be thrown, and includes sensors so that it can home in on targets in darkness, from behind cover or around corners, suffering no penalties in these situations. It can be programmed to return to the user. It can also attack on it's own, hovering about opponents to attack again and again. It will attack every 3 shots, with an attack skill equal to the user's Fortune until the end of the sequence. It has a Dodge of 20 due to it's small size and speed. Any hit destroys it. The damage rating is 12.

Destroyer Armor, Aspect Armor, Chod-8

Aztech, CyberCriters, Cyberpapacy, Tharkold

These suits of armor would be next-to-impossible to wear without the exoskeleton that carries their weight. They have a Reflex penalty of two, along with 6 points of armor. Many people wearing these are martial arts trained, and take the Signature Armor Fu schtick.

Gothic Armor, Avatar Armor, Chod-10

CyberCriters, Cyberpapacy, Tharkold

This very rare armor is the best personal armor available in Torg. It is fully powered, so the suit can walk around even without a person inside. They give a general three point Reflex penalty, along with eight points of armor. If connected to a cybernetic Exo Link, there is no Reflex penalty.

Gothic Armor is a new cyberpapal copy of Chod-10. Very little was changed in the original design, but the bare circuitry common in tharkoldish design was coated with gothic ornaments.

Hallomesh, Kap-5, Implast

Aztech, CyberCriters, Cyberpapacy, Tharkold

A quilted or leather-like material that turns rigid when subject to kinetic impact; these armors are stylish and comfortable, but quite noticeable to people in the know. It offers three points of armor with no penalties.

Mass Impact Weapons

CyberCritters, Cyberpapacy, Tharkold

By using subspace fields, the effective mass of a weapon can be altered without reducing it's speed, thus increasing the momentum of a blow. This technique works only on basic cutting and crushing weapons, thrusting weapons and light weapons such as the katana or saber cannot benefit.

A mass impact weapon increases it's damage by +1, and can be combined with power weapon technology.

Plasma Weapons

Cyberpapacy, Tharkold

A plasma containment field formed as a traditional weapon. On a hit the containment field is compressed, releasing some of the heat inside. Plasma weapons glow strongly, appearing as shafts of colored flame. On a hit they cause a minor explosion. Not a subtle weapon.

On a snakeyes result, the plasma containment released some plasma and does a base damage 12 attack against you. This is in addition to any possible damage to your target.

Each plasma sword wil only burn for fifteen minutes or so; it it is turned off, it canot be relit. Changing power packs cannot be done in the field.

Plasma weapons have a damage value of 15**.

Power Weapons

Cyberpapacy; Cyberpapacy

Power weapons ignore personal armor, and do double their basic damage value versus inanimate objects.

Power weapons are surrounded by force fields that flick on and of, reducing any brittle material it encounters to dust. It does not increase the damage the weapon inflicts on organic targets, but power weapons can also be mass-impact weapons.

Reflec, Diffax

Aztech, CyberCriters, Cyberpapacy, Tharkold

A thin body suit, the reflec armor provides four points of armor against lasers and other energy weapons only. It is very light and unobtrusive.

Screen

Tharkold

An active system that creates a dampening field around the user, reducing the damage of plasma attacks in his vicinity by five. A personal screen has a radius of three meters, but larger, more powerful variants are used to protect vehicles and installations.
