Chuck Burke

Insane Snake Palm

chi X, shot 3+special

Effect: Reduce your next initiative by X, while adding X to the AV of a single strike (declare schtick before dice are rolled). Add to the end of the snake path. Restricted schtick.

'Insane Snake' was one of the more famous snake stylists in gypsy circles. Normally the women did the snake possession dances, and it was not unheard of for a man to do it once in a while--but as a fighting form?

Ruinous Hell Boxing

chi 8, shot 4

Among the more powerful (and costly) of the darkness fu arts, an opponent hit with this schtick loses the outcome in chi for the remainder of the fight, but takes no damage (unless a critical hit, then normal damage). Counts as two fu schticks.

Can only be learned by a Darkness Champion, or a student of a rogue Darkness Champion.

Murderous Secret Wall

Chi Special, Shot Special

Using only her chi, a master of the the 'Murderous Secret Wall' will create an illusory barrier. This barrier has a quality about it that few can resist. Opponents observing the barrier must make a willpower check with X as the difficulty. Failure to do so results in the opponent(s) needing to touch the wall immediately, convinced that there is something to be gained by touching the wall. "Look a safe." The wall will then pull the opponent(s) through it, making a check where X is the strength of the wall, and the difficulty is the Bod of the opponent minus the outcome of the opponents willpower check. Success means that the opponent is pulled through the wall. Typically these walls hide deep pitfalls, explosives or some other form of environmental damage... This schtick cannot be activated in combat, but can be declared before combat, if the character is defending an area.

This is the third schtick on the "Path of Smoke and Mirrors."

No Jade Attack

Chi 4, Shot 3

A successful attack using this schtick reduces the current chi of the target by the outcome, for the remainder of the sequence. Only a few Guiding Hand masters know this schtick, it is rarely used on non-rouge monks/warriors. This is a restricted schtick. Costs 2 fu schticks.

Mongolian Rooster Knee

Chi 3, Shot 2

Make a knee attack doing +1 damage. If successful, a +1 can be added to an intimidation check vs the target. This schtick belongs in the "Path of the Strutting Wanderer".

Many cultures around the world celebrate the 'sport' of cock-fighting. The Mongolian rooster knee is an example of fu inspired from such.

Drunken Jade Kung-Fu

Chi 0, Shot X. While in the drunken stance, add X to fu for this sequence. Cannot actively dodge (or perform any defensive action other than drunken stance for the duration of this schtick. Your chi cannot exceed your chi rating.

"Jade is a great source of power," -- Kar Fai. Add to the end of the drunken path, and consider a restricted schtick.

Uncomfortable Iron Hand

Chi 2, Shot 3

Add +4 to the damage from a hand attack (typically a spear fist, or claw technique). The user is at -1 to Willpower for the duration of the sequence. This penalty is increased to a maximum of -3 with multiple uses of this schtick. Many practitioners of this fu in 69ad are easy pawns for the Lotus.

Mighty Rabbit Attack

Chi 4, Shot 4

Declare this schtick before rolling dice, then make 3 attacks against 1 target (or group of targets), at -2, -3, then -4 damage respectively.

Rabbit is among the most powerful of the Chinese zodiac, these animals prosper all over the world.

Sound of the Eagle Ambush

Chi 2, Shot 1

By disturbing the chi of the local environment, you get a bonus to intimidate your target(s). +2 normally, +4 vs a transformed animal with the Prey Schtick, +1 vs a transformed animal with the Predator schtick. This schtick is the precursor to "Devastating Bamboo Scare".

"She gives me the willies like nobody else..."

Devastating Bamboo Scare

Chi 3, Shot 1

In an area of dense plant growth, you can inspire great terror in an opponent. Add +4 to an intimidation check, and take no penalty for intimidating multiple targets.

"He had the whole forest ready to jump us!"
