Random Fu Names CompetitionImperial Shaolin TackleChi: 3, Shots: 4 Prerequisite: Imperial Monk Stance From the same Fu path as the Imperial Monk Stance (obviously), I see this path as utilising the underused Mind stat. The user of this power stands stock still for a moment focusing their willpower before launching themselves Headfirst a distance equal to their Wil in meters horizontally (think Zaiden from mortal combat). The user strikes their opponent with their shoulder knocking them to the ground adding half their Wil to the outcome and also costs their opponent 2 shots as they sprawl across the ground. Kiss of the Storm ChargeChi: Special, Shots: Special Prerequisites: Gift of the Storm, Vertical Charge (probably should be Integration of the Clouds but Vertical Charge fits the name better) The ultimate in the fusion of styles between the Path of the Leaping Storm and the Path of the Storm Turtle. When invoked the user wipes her hand across her mouth and then grabs the hand of another character. The user then can then activate any fu power (for the normal cost) they know on either the Storm Turtle or Leaping Storm path. The character they are grabbing also uses that fu power even if they do not know the schtick at the cost of half chi rounded down, although schticks costing 1 Chi still cost 1 Chi. If the power is more than a single attack (say Laughter of the Turtle) then the two users must keep clasping hands throughout the sequence. If the two users grip is broken while their Fu power is active then there is a blinding flash of light emenating from their hands causing everyone within the number of shots that they have been using the power in meters of the primary user to lose 1 shot. Users cannot choose to break contact, it must be forced. I strongly suspect that this power is either grossly over or under powered but I love it for the sheer beauty of the imagery when the Old Master grabs the Ninja and they perform a Torrent of Fury across the board except that the Old Master misses an opponent only to be dragged bouncing around the room by the Ninja who keeps going. Or even better two characters combing a Flying Windmill Kick on a kick arse GMc who they've been unable to beat individually. Seven Sage HammerPath of the Seven Sages Chi: 1, Shots: 3 The seven sages of Fou Loon were seven warrior-scholar brothers who disapeared just before the 69AD juncture opened. Each brother came up with his own fu schtick which he taught to his other brothers. Many people know of their techniques and have dismissed them as weak and worthless. It is only recently in the Netherworld that the existance of an eighth and final schitck, that combines the seven techniques together, has been discovered. Now the race is on to discover what this unifying, awesome, schtick is and to discover exactly what happened to the seven brothers. The Seven Sage Hammer itself is simply a sweeping two handed strike the gives a +1 bonus to the outcome of the attack Notes: The schtik itself is worthless, almost too worthless, in it's original form it just added +1 to damage. Perhaps it was the wekaest of the brothers that came up with this one? It's the background to the seven sages that is most interesting. It's important to note that although lots of people know of the Seven Sage techniques not many people actually know the techniques themselves so even if someone does discover the eight technique (or is it just a rumour) they will have to do a lot of barganing to learn the other seven. Hmm, it would be quite cool to have an amnesied Old Master as one of the Seven Sages as a good melodramatic hook.... Excsuce me I'm begining to ramble. |
