Starfox's Biography

Please Mail Me!Starfox is the on-line personality of Carl Cramér, a Swedish role player who just happens to be me! I am also known as Abbe (pronounced somewhat like Abbey, but feel free to use Abe) or Skyfox. The name Starfox comes from Stephen Starfox, a character in an old critter-Star Wars campaign.

Critters, or Furries, are humanoid animals, a pet interest of mine. I have introduced them into many of the worlds I role play in, such as Star Wars and TORG.

Recently, I have started to ride on horseback. I am also interested in history and old buildings. I do many web sites in my spare time (I have lots of spare time), but I have not yet started doing web sites commercially. I will consider propositions. You can see a collection of the web sites I've done on my very own web ring.

I live in Linköping, a medium town in central Sweden, about 300 kilometers (200 miles) from the capital, Stockholm. I was born on the 15:th of May in 1966 in Stockholm. I am retired for health reasons (a spinal injury suffered as a child). I have yet to find a vixen of my own, and thus have plenty of time to waste online.

I have been an avid role player since I was introduced to Dungeons and Dragons when I was 13 years old. Nowadays I play mostly my own, modified variant of Feng Shui, known as T3, but I have had major periods playing TORG, Star Wars, Pendragon, Rolemaster, Runequest, Shadowrun, Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Call of Cthulhu and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.

Introduced to war games by friends, I have played some, including Fire in the East, Empires in Arms, World in Flames and Europa Universalis, but I prefer role playing to war gaming. I also try to combine role playing and board gaming, with such games such as Star Warriors and Crimson Skies.

I find it almost impossible to play a role playing game without modifying the rules. As you can see on this site, these modifications and expansions can become quite extensive. I often play a game long enough to make the rules too complex, then shift my attention to a new game.

I have written some articles for gaming magazines, the now-defunct Swedish game magazines Rubicon and Sinkadus, as well as having articles rejected by TSRs Dungeon Adventures. I also have some articles in Rolemaster Companion IV from ICE.
