Ceramic Armor is a new development that drastically alters the balance in he sky – If pilots (and the committees ordering gear for them) were only smart enough to use it. Red Fox Industries of Kansas City in the People's Collective always stand ready to arm our patriotic warriors with the best new weapons.
A development of the Ceramic Fuel Tank Armor recently acquired from downed Lakota pirates. Engineers from Red Fox Industries rapidly reverse - engineered the design. (There can be no question of morality when copying designs of those who would supply pirates.) But why limit ceramic armor to the fuel tanks only?
Game Mechanics
By replacing regular aluminum hull sheathing with ceramic substitutes, planes can be made almost invulnerable to magnesium rounds. Ceramic armor simply will not burn. The weight of the armor tripples, however. Remember that only the armor is ceramic; penetrating hits can still burn interior components.
