Background

Tagu, Samia's page, is a young servant boy, inquisitive and quite bright. He also has the potential to become a mage, and received some training by Achbar the sea-mage, though he has no schticks yet.

After all these adventures, he is now the apprentice of Hafiz ben Wasil al-Adad the Hesabi. He feels quite self-important in his new position, and is prone to make pompous statemets and claim his magic can solve anything.
