Background

Hetman of Sook Oda, Haruth is a cynical man, a Zakharan with a jaundiced view of the increasing domination of the region by Corsairs and Quadran Mamluks. Afflicted with a variety of minor ills, he usually looks annoyed and irritated, but his mind is very sharp and he is a good hetman, swift with justice and cautious (but generous) with mercy where appropriate. In appearance. he is a skinny little man (5'5") with sharp features, thinning black hair, a pointed beard, and very dark skin. He looks every day of his 56 years.
