Background

Effinidih is a very beautiful elven sorceress. She got her training as the slave/adoptee apprentice of the old sea archmage Zarastro, who pampered her highly. She is used to getting her way. She was born on a magical island across the Great Sea, far to the west, and still remembers being rescued by Zarastro from misadventures she had there as a kid. She is beginning to suspect that the old mage Zarastro (picture to the right) had some purpose with abducting her from across the wide sea, that he has some destiny for her to fulfill. She eyes this fate with apprehension.

She fancies herself an Askari, and has some skill with the sword. She is also partial to flame magics, though she can wield the other elements with ease. Her Sorcery Schticks are Blast, Divination, Fertility, Flame, Healing, and Weather,.

One of Babasadeh's compatriots in A Fish in the Sea. She joined the band to repay Babazadeh for aiding her escape from Zarastro's isle, though she loathed the others.

Abdallah courted her, and mollified her somewhat. She needed help to survive in the city. After a long courtship, he finally proposed, and they were married, much to the surprise of both of them.

She met her future husband Abdallah in Muluk, where she was obliged to help his enemies by flirting with him and tricking him out onto an island to be beaten, but she abandoned her employers after they totally lost face. After a long courtship, he finally proposed, and they were married, much to the surprise of both of them. She later joined him when he left Muluk, and travelled to Huzuz with him.

At this point she became a player character, Played by Åsa Hässler.

Effinidih is beginning to really care for Abdallah, after a few years of marriage. She has decided that Abdallah needs a second wife. They have met a desert princess named Shajar Altair, whom they rescued and sailed around the Crowded Sea on Abdallah's ship with. At first they thought they could seduce her. Shajar saw right through their plans, but did not really mind, so now she is betrothed to Abdallah.
