T3

Super / Origin / Technology

As a technology hero, your powers derive from technological mechanisms; either as Gadgets or somehow inherent. Possibilities include a powered suit, you being a robot, control over some ultratech machinery or simply technologically sufficiently advanced to be indistinguishable from magic.

Common themes for technology supers are Cyber, Guns, Items and Super schticks. If you break the mold and use Sorcery, it is not really supernatural at all, it just seems that way to the uninitiated.

Technology Origin in City of Heroes

To qualify as technology origin, your main source of powers have to be devices or you should be robotic. Many groups use technology to some extent, but few concentrate in it.

Freakshow

These techno-nihilists use grim and rough tools of destruction. Only their Tanks are true cyborgs, but they all use technology implements. Freakshow scavenge what they can use, but there must exist some behind-the-scenes technology masterminds that actually install their cyberware. These do not seem to be a unified group; some disgruntled Vazhilok work this trade, but most likely there are others as well.

Sky Raiders

Hijacking a government plan to make super-soldier gear, the Sky Raiders are über-tech pirates.

Goldbrickers

Maintained by the arch villain Midas, who himself seems to be science origin; these crooks and scavengers use super-science flight packs and sonic weapons. Their technology is just barely advanced enough to qualify as technology origin.

Nemesis

The ultimate technology mastermind, Nemesis rank and file are automatons and humans with super steam-tech weapons, but the leadership are cyborgs who have been built into robot bodies.

Council / 5th Column Robot Rebellion

The Council / 5th Column are huge organizations, and have assembled robot armies large enough to constitute a force in themselves. When they rebel, they form what could become a huge threat in the future; an army of robots capable of producing more of themselves.
