T3

Skills / Intrusion / Safecracking

There are some locks that are simply too tough fornrmal people to crack. No ordinary thief can break into a bank vault without explosives or a giant drill. But you are one of the few, the proud, who can talk to a safe and make it tick.

To stand a chance, you musthave safecracking equipment of the same technological sophistication as the safe - or some substitute, like appropriate Sorcery. You must also be able to work in peace and quiet.

Different safes set different difficulties for your Intrusion rolls, and this is also the basetime it takes to crack the safe in minutes; reduce the time by the Outcome.

Safe Difficulty
Basic store safe, security locker 10
Bank safe 15
Bank Vault 20

If you try and crack the vault by accessing the mechanism rather than by simple safecracking, add one to four hours to the required time, depending on the sophistication of the vault. Reduce the difficulty by 5 if you do this. The GM may well use this as a plot device, also known as the Die Hard effect.
