T3

Items / Melee / Spear

The basic "pointy stick" in use since primordial times, the spear reamins a highly versatile and powerful weapon. Can be improvised with a simple pointed stick. A rifle fitted with a bayonet uses these values as well.

Butt Strike

After a normal attack you can expend an additional shot and make a second attack with the butt of the weapon, for Strength +2 damage. You must be holding the weapon in two hands to do this.

Butt Strike cannot be used along with any other weapon maneouvre or eves special stunt. That is if you did something funny as a part of your attack, it wasn't a normal attack and doesn't qualify for a Butt Strike.

Charge

The weapon is suited for an impetuous charge. It is possible to do a running move and still attack, as long as the move is in a reasonably straight line.

Great Blow

A Great Blow is a powerful all-out attack. It always requires two hands, even with a weapon that is normally used one-handed. It receives a +3 bonus to your damage, but you cannot do anything, such as an ActiveDefense, until your next shot comes up.

Great Blow does not combine with Bash.

Impale

An attack to impale an opponent on the point of your weapon. This attack receives a +3 bonus to damage, but if you are successful in inflicting any damage, the weapon is lodged in your enemy and cannot be used until you sped a single shot withdrawing it or until your opponent moves away, dislodging himself. You can dislodge the weapon as a three-shot action if you wish to move at the same time.

You cannot impale when you Throw a weapon.

Improvised

This weapon does not need to be made as a dedicated weapon - it can be found or scrounged from civilian gear. Such scrounged versions are less durable than the real thing, and break on any snakeyes roll. In addition, any Disarm Stunts get a +3 modifier against such a weapon.

Of course, a purposedly crafted version of the weapon does not have these drawbacks.
