T3

Fu / Paths / Earth Mother

This is a path of the living soil. It does not rely on fancy moves, but on unending power and resilience. An internal art, it is somewhat defensive in nature. Practitioners of this art tend to be very big and tough. For this reason, it is sometimes refeered to as Ton-Fu or Tung-Fu.

Earth Stance

Fu: 1, Shot: 0

As an active defence, you harden yourself against attacks by focusing your chi and balance. You increase your effective Toughness (and thus Armor Value) by +3 for the current shot. It does not apply against attacks directed at some attribute other than Toughness, but is declared only after you know that you have been hit.

Doom Hammer

Fu: 2, Shot: 3

Use your entire body as a weapon, battering your enemy down with your mass and power. A foe hit by this dreaded attack takes damage equal to twice your Strength, but he gets to subtract twice his Toughness from the damage.

Stoneskin

Fu: 1, Shot: 0

Your body is hard as stone, and anyone striking you is up for a jarring shock. It is much less effective against strong and well-armed opponents.

Use this power as you are hit in close combat. The attacker takes damage equal to your Toughness minus the number of WoundPoints he inflicted on you. If you use an Toughness-enhancing techniques along with Stoneskin, the damage you inflict will increase. Does not work against a flexible weapon or grappling technique.

This combines really well with Earth Stance and Humility of the Soil.

Serenity of Stone

Fu: 2, Shot: 0

For the rest of the sequence, you ignore any wound Impairment.

Gaia's Gift

Fu: 3, Shot: 1

Make an Constitution roll while touching the ground. You regain a number of WoundPoints equal to the result. You can only do this once per Sequence in a fight and once between each fight.
