Hurt someone by making them think they have been hurt.

This is a mental attack that is soaked with Perception instead of Toughness. Non-living creatures and objects (such as robots and doors) are immune to Spectral Blast. Damage Immunity to Influence or Blast protects.

A target that fails a Death Test against Spectral Blast does not die or need hospitalization. Instead, he goes unconscious for one minute per point of failure on the Death Test, and he is then extra vulnerable to Illusion effects.

Common Metablasts

Animate, Area-Autofire, Area-Ball, Area-Cylinder, Area-Cone, Area-Selective, Curse, Focus (Depending on source), Homing, Knockback, Lingering, Melee, Paralysis, Ranging, Shock, Sleep, Slime, Stun, and Web.


Possible option not in play: Anyone hurt by Spectral blast will realize some of the damage is fake after a while; make a Willpower roll at the end of the sequence and recover this many Wound Points (or whatever type of damage the spectral blast did). Reasonably, this should never be more than the spectral damage taken in the round, but strange things can happen with illusions.
