The Flux is a power similar in effect and game rules to Psionics, but the source of these two powers are quite different. Psions use the power of their mind to manifest powers. Flux adepts are able to channel the cosmic flux energy and use this to manifest their powers. The Flux is an integral part of the SLA Industries game. This page provides background and rules for Flux in the D20 Modern game.
Background
About the Flux
The flux is the shift of the raw energies of the formulated universe, the flux is everywhere and a part of everything. Ebons draw these energies into their minds and bodies. They are chanelled and broken down into the construction of Ebon Abilities. Ebons abd Brain Wasters alike make their bodies into vessels for flux.
When the Ebon is about to charge and ability, they calcultae the desired formula and exert flux from his body. Flux is necessary to charge every Ebon talent. Whithout flux the Ebon is useless and will not be able to use their powers. Ebon and Brain Wasters' bodies draw in flux every day and it is stored until it is used. Flux can only be gathered when the Ebon is at rest or relaxed. Their mins must be free from thoughts and complications. Some Ebons enter the foetal postition to enhance the flow of flux through their mind and body.

Rules
Basics
Flux works like psionics and uses the same rules, unless noted. We recommend the Expanded Psionic rules for D20 version 3.5.
Advanced Classes
Two classes are available, the Flux Adept and the Flux Warrior. These correspond to Psion and Psych Warrior respectively.
Focus
A Flux user must have a focus in order to manifest a power. This can be a glyph cards or a DeathSuit. The DeathSuit has a number of related rules. See below.
Deathsuit
Basic deathsuit abilities: Light armor (AC +4, max +8, etc). The Ebon may improve the deathsuit by paying experience points. This is handled as either the Ancestral Daisho (Oriental Adventures) or an Ancestral Item (Unearthed Arcana). Todo: Insert table below.
