Classes / Undead Fortitude

Vampires are famous for their supernatural toughness. This class enhances that toughness.

Prerequisite: Kindred or Ghoul.

Hit Die: 1d12

Class Skills: The class skills for Undead Fortitude (and the key ability for each skill) are: Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Intimidate (Cha), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).

Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features

All the following are class features for Undead Fortitude.

Damage Resistance (Su): You get Damage Resistance 1/—. This stacks with all other Damage Resistances you might have. The DR increases at 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level.

Talents

Each time you get to an even level, you may choose one of these talents. You must fulfill any prerequisites in order to pick a talent.

Bestow Vigor (Sp): You can give some of your unnatural stamina to someone else. The blood point you spend to activate this power is given to the target to drink. For one round per level, the target gets Damage Resistance as if he had your level of Undead Fortitude. You do not lose anything yourself. As a full-round action, it is possible to Bestow Vigor on multiple targets, as long as each has an opportunity to drink.
Cost: 1 blood point to activate per target.

Energy Resistance (Su): You get Energy Resistance against acid, cold, electricity, sonic, or fire/sunlight equal to the greatest of your Undead Fortitude level and your Constitution bonus. You may pick this talent more than once, taking a different resistance each time. This stacks with your normal resistances to cold and electricity, and with the energy resistances gained from the Tough Hero class.

Eternal Vigilance (Ex): You can remain awake during the day. You suffer no daytime penalties, but you still take damage from sunlight.

Very Tough (Ex): You get +1 hit point per character level. You can pick this talent more than once.

Fearless (Ex): You no longer fear fire, sunlight, or other physical things.
Requirements: Energy Resistance against fire/sunlight.

Restoration (Ex): You can heal yourself more effectively. As a move-equivalent action that costs 1 Blood Point, you restore 2d8 + (your Fortitude level) + (your total level) hit points. Restoration provokes attacks of opportunity, but is always successful.
Requirements: Very Tough

Flesh of Marble (Su): Your skin gets hard as rock. It is a free action to activate this ability, and it lasts until you end it or run out of blood. In addition to any other DR you have, you get DR 10/blunt.
Requirements: Very Tough
Cost: 1 blood point to activate, and 1 each time you are hit.

Undead Persistence (Ex): When you are reduced below 0 hit points, you retain a partial action each round. You must still check for torpor when you take damage.
Requirements: Very Tough
