The largest of the Goblin races. About 7 feet tall, they are fairly quick and clever. These big goblins are covered with a thick fur adding the bear-epitet to their name. The fur ranges in color from dark brown to reddish and in some extremely rare cases pure white.
Bugbears are normally not docile creatures but they are expert bullies and thus are almost always placed as slave-herders or taskmasters by their Drow owners where their strength and wicked attitudes make them very skilled.
The fact that they are amongst the most despised of the citys non-drow ensures their loyalty to their masters, knowing that without the authority of the dark elves backing them up, the days of the bugbears in the city would be numbered.
