Limitations
For definitions on these, see the Magic Traditions rules under T3:Sorcery
Focus: Every wizard has a spell book - either in written or electronic form - and needs this to prepare spells. It is impossible for a wizard to recover magic points if this spell book is lost, and each day that sorcery is used without recourse to the spell book causes the loss of three Magic points.
Hocus Pocus: Wizards use gestures, incantations and some props to focus their magic. Wizardly hocus-pocus is deliberate, exact, and often pseudo-scientific. They love devices like astrolabes, periodic tables, lexica, and their high-tech equivalents.
Restriction: You can't cast spells when bound, encumbered, grappled, or hanging by your fingernails. Wearing armor incurs a Sorcery penalty equal to the Reflex penalty of the armor.
