This is a Method for using Powers in Action. Methods are a part of Traditions and define how Powers are used in each campaign.
Power Words
You focus your power in exclamations, battle cries, and sharp yells. It is not enough to mumble an arcane formula; you shout the name of your power, berate your target, and otherwise make a nuisance of yourself expressing your power.
Limitation
You cannot use your powers silently. Your words of power need to be audible over your surroundings; in a noisy place you need to shout loudly indeed. Fortunately, you have trained your voice to overcome even the roar of a tidal wave or jet engine. When not using Power Words to focus, it is not obvious what specific power you are using, only that you are using powers.
Focus Condition
Trigger Action (Focus)
You can focus at the beginning of your first action for the round, and you must what Limit Break you intend to use. You can only use this specific limit break this round. It is customary to use the Limit Break as soon as possible, so as to prevent enemies from using this knowledge against you somehow.
Out of combat, using Power Words to focus takes five minutes of escalating chanting, making it obvious to everyone nearby what is about to happen.
