The noble hunter is less of animal than most hunters, retaining her role as a humanoid alpha predator, a true lord of the wilderness and a practitioner of way of life martial arts.

Class Information

This is a martial arts archetype

Class: Hunter.

Hit Die: d8.

Class Abilities

The noble hunter has all the class abilities of the hunter, except as noted below.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

A noble hunter is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and shields (except tower shields), but not with any armor.

Way of Life Armor Bonus (Ex)

When unarmored and unencumbered, the noble hunter adds his Charisma bonus (if positive) as a dodge modifier to armor class and CMD. He loses this bonus when he wears any armor, when he carries a medium or heavy load, or when he is denied his Dexterity bonus to armor class. The noble hunter can use his way of life armor bonus with a shield.

This replaces the hunter's own use of animal focus. The hunter can use animal focus normally to enhance her animal companion, but not on herself.

Spells

The noble hunter uses Charisma instead of Wisdom when casting spells.

Summary of Lost Class Abilities

These abilities of the original class are lost or modified in this archetype:

  • Armor Proficiency
  • Animal Focus
