Some sacredotes focus on healing, channeling divine benevolence rather than divine wrath.

Class Information

This is a sacredote archetype.

Alignment: The healing sacredote must be non-evil and if the sacredote has one or more patrons, at least one of those patrons must be non-evil as well.

Class Skills

The healing sacredote's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (Local) (Int), Knowledge (History) (Int), Knowledge (Religion) (Int), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int).

Skill Points per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features

This archetype has all normal class features, except as noted.

Healing Domain

A sacredote must chose the healing domain as one of his domains, and must gain access to this domain in the normal way; from a patron with the healing domain, from a philosophy, pantheon, dualistic faith, or monotheistic deity with the healing domain, or from a personal creed. The different choices here affects how many domains the healing sacredote gets. This is a restriction on the domains ability.

Healing Spell Channel (Su)

A sacredote can release a wave of healing energy by channeling the power of his spells through his divine focus. Healing spell channel uses positive energy to heal damage to living creatures. It has no effect on non-living creatures, undead, or objects.

To use this ability, the sacredote spends a standard action and sacrifices a sacredote spell of level one or higher. Orisons cannot be channeled. This can be a cleric or domain spell and is expended as if it was cast, but has no effects besides powering the healing spell channel ability. The amount of damage healed is 1d6 points per level of spell. At level 4 and each every 4 levels thereafter add another d6 damage, to a maximum of 5d6 additional healing at level 20.

Example: A 13 level healing sacredote channels a 4th level spell. The damage is 4d6 for the spell level and 3d6 for the class level, for a total damage of 7d6.

Healing spell channel can take two forms, a burst or a ray. A burst affects all creatures in a 30-foot radius centered on the sacredote. As an alternative, the sacredote can focus the energy into a ray with medium range (100 ft. + 10 ft./level). This only affects a single target, but each die automatically rolls the maximum result. Both versions only affect willing targets, and there is no saving throw or attack roll.

It is possible to use channeling feats with the channel spells ability. Healing spell channel used with channeling feats counts as the cleric's ability to channel positive energy to heal living creatures. Channeling feat abilities that allow saving throws only work on willing targets. Sacredote levels count as cleric levels in regard to channeling feats.

A healing sacredote must be able to present his divine focus to use this ability. This replaces spell channel and the additional spell channel dice gained at level 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20.

Merciful Spell Channel (Su)

At 2nd level, a healing sacredote who uses healing spell channel also removes one or more harmful conditions. The healing sacredote chooses one of the following harmful conditions at 2nd level: fatigued, shaken, or sickened. When the healing sacredote uses healing spell channel he can remove the chosen condition from one living creature that he heals with healing spell channel.

At 6th level, he can choose another condition. It can be one of those he didn’t choose at 3rd level, or one of the following conditions: dazed, diseased, or staggered. He can remove up to two conditions affecting those he heals with healing spell channel. This can be two conditions from one target or one condition each from two targets.

He gains another condition at 10th level, and can choose an above condition or one of the following conditions: cursed, exhausted, frightened, nauseated, or poisoned. He can remove up to three conditions from any combination of targets of her healing spell channel.

At 14th level, he can choose a lower-level condition or one of the following conditions: blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or stunned. He can remove up to four conditions.

At 18th level, he can choose a lower-level condition or one of the following conditions: confused, cowering, drugged, energy drained, mad, or petrified. He can remove up to five conditions.

Feats and effects that affect a paladin’s mercy also affect this ability. Merciful spell channel counts as a prerequisite for abilities requiring the paladins mercy ability, but the healing sacredote's restrictions on the number of conditions that can be removed with one use of the ability remains. This ability replaces the additional spell channel dice at level 2, 6, 10, 14, and 18.

True Healer (Su)

At 5th level, when a healing sacredote uses healing spell channel, she can choose to apply the benefits of merciful spell channel or to reroll any 1s when determining how much damage she heals with healing spell channel. She must choose which benefit to take before she rolls to see how much damage she heals. This counts as the merciful healer cleric archetype's ability of the same name for prerequisites. This replaces the manifestation ability a sacredote gains at level 5.

Manifestation

Gained at 9th level, this is the same as the sacredote ability of the same name except that it the affects healing spell channel ability instead of the channel spell ability. The healing sacredote gets additional manifestations at level 13 and 17.

In addition to the stated number of spells per day for 1st- through 9th-level spells, a sacredote gets an equal number of domain spells for each spell level, starting at 1st. The "x+x" in the entries on this table represents these extra spells. Bonus spells the sacredote may receive for having a high intelligence score apply to both regular spells and domain spells separately and is thus applied twice. In addition to the stated number of spells per day for 1st- through 9th-level spells, a sacredote gets an equal number of domain spells for each spell level, starting at 1st.
