A focus rod replaces the need for any material component. A lesser focus rod can replace any component with a cost of 20 gp or less, a minor lesser focus rod can replace any component with a cost of 100 gp or less; a major focus rod can replace any component with a cost of 500 gp or less, while a greater rod can replace any material component with a cost of 2,500 gp or less. The semi-legendary ultimate focus rod can replace any material component worth 12,500 gp or less. In each case, the rod functions three times per day.

Lesser focus rod: moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Rod, minor creation. Price 500 gp.

Minor focus rod: moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Rod, minor creation. Price 2,500 gp.

Major focus rod: moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Rod, major creation. Price 12,500 gp.

Greater focus rod: strong conjuration; CL 13th; Craft Rod, limited wish. Price 67,500 gp.

Ultimate focus rod: strong conjuration; CL 17th; Craft Rod, wish or miracle. Price 317,500 gp.
