=== Bonus Languages ===
The elemental druid gains the [[Domains_(Apath)#Elements_Domain | elements domain]]. When determining the powers and bonus spells granted by this domain, the elemental druid's effective cleric level is equal to her elemental druid level. The elemental druid also receives additional domain spell slots, just like a cleric. She must prepare the spell from her domain in this slot and this spell cannot be used to cast a spell spontaneously. This replaces nature bond.
+
An elementalist druid's bonus language options include Aquam (the language of water elementals), Auram (air elementals), Ignam (fire elementals), and Terram (earth elementals). This choice is in addition to the bonus languages available to the character because of his race.
 +
An elementalist druid also knows druidic, a secret language known only to druids, which he learns upon becoming a 1st-level elementalist druid. Druidic is a free language for an elementalist druid; that is, he knows it in addition to his regular allotment of languages and it doesn't take up a language slot. Elementalist druids are forbidden to teach this language to non-druids. Druidic has its own alphabet. This replaces the druid's bonus languages.

=== Elementalist Bond (Ex) ===
An elemental druid can improve the attitude of a creature with the elemental, air, earth, fire, or water subtypes and an Intelligence of 4 or less. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. The elemental druid rolls 1d20 and adds her elemental druid level and her Charisma modifier to determine the wild empathy check result.

To use elemental empathy, the druid and the creature must be able to study each other, which means that they must be within 30 feet of one another under normal conditions. Generally, influencing a creature in this way takes 1 minute but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time.

At 13th level, an elemental druid gain the ability to move through natural hazards (such as bogs, loose sand, snow, ice, rock slides, and so on) at his normal speed without taking damage or suffering any other impairment (in effect, this is the woodland stride ability applied to non-plant environmental hazards). Terrain hazards that have been magically manipulated to impede motion still affect him. This replaces a thousand faces.

An elementalist druid is focused on the elemental planes and on conjuring and summoning creatures from those planes. She gains the ability to invoke elemental powers, at the cost of a weaker link to nature.

Class Information

This is a druid archetype

Hit Die: d8.

Class Features

The elementalist druid has all the druid's class features, except as described here.

Bonus Languages

An elementalist druid's bonus language options include Aquam (the language of water elementals), Auram (air elementals), Ignam (fire elementals), and Terram (earth elementals). This choice is in addition to the bonus languages available to the character because of his race.

Elementalist Bond (Ex)

The elementalist druid gains the elements domain. When determining the powers and bonus spells granted by this domain, the elementalist druid's effective cleric level is equal to her elementalist druid level. The elementalist druid also receives additional domain spell slots, just like a cleric. She must prepare the spell from her domain in this slot and this spell cannot be used to cast a spell spontaneously. This replaces nature bond.

Elementalist Empathy (Ex)

An elementalist druid can improve the attitude of a creature with the elemental, air, earth, fire, or water subtypes and an Intelligence of 4 or less. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. The elementalist druid rolls 1d20 and adds her elementalist druid level and her Charisma modifier to determine the wild empathy check result.

Such creatures generally have an initial attitude of unfriendly.

To use elementalist empathy, the druid and the creature must be able to study each other, which means that they must be within 30 feet of one another under normal conditions. Generally, influencing a creature in this way takes 1 minute but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time.

This replaces wild empathy.

Elementalist Summons (Sp)

An elementalist druid can only summon animals and creatures of the air, earth, elemental, fire, or water subtypes when using summoning spells and abilities. All animals summoned by the elementalist druid must choose a simple elemental creature template:

  1. Simple Template: Aerial Creature
  2. Simple Template: Aqueous Creature
  3. Simple Template: Chthonic Creature
  4. Simple Template: Fiery Creature.

Elementalist Shape (Su)

At 4th level an elementalist druid gains the ability to assume the form of a small elemental, as elemental body I.

An elementalist druid can use this ability an additional time per day at 6th level and every two levels thereafter, for a total of eight times at 18th level. At 20th level, an elementalist druid can use elementalist shape at will.

At 8th level, an elementalist druid can change into a Medium elemental, as elemental body II.

At 10th level, an elementalist druid can change into a Large elemental, as elemental body III.

At 12th level, an elementalist druid can change into a Huge elemental, as elemental body IV.

This replaces wild shape.

Resist Element's Lure (Ex)

Starting at 5th level, an element druid gains a +4 bonus on saving throws against the spell-like and supernatural abilities of creatures with the acid, air, cold, earth, electricity, fire, or water descriptors and to spells with these descriptors. This replaces resist nature's lure.

Terrain Stride (Ex)

At 13th level, an elementalist druid gain the ability to move through natural hazards (such as bogs, loose sand, snow, ice, rock slides, and so on) at her normal speed without taking damage or suffering any other impairment (in effect, this is the woodland stride ability applied to non-plant environmental hazards). Terrain hazards that have been magically manipulated to impede motion still affect her. This replaces a thousand faces.
