The crafty warpriest focuses on stealth and trickery over normal combat.

Class Information

This is a hybrid class, a combination of warpriest and rogue.

Hit Dice: d8.

Class Skills

The crafty warpriest class skills are: Acrobatics (Dex), Appraise (Int), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Disable Device (Dex), Disguise (Cha), Fly (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (dungeoneering) (Int), Knowledge (local) (Int), Knowledge (planes) (Int), Perception (Wis), Profession (Wis), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Spellcraft (Int), Swim (Str), Stealth (Dex), and Use Warpriestsc Device (Cha). Skills in italics are new to this archetype. The crafty warpriest has lost the Ride skill.

Skill Ranks Per Level: 6 + Int modifier.

Class Features

The crafty warpriest has all the standard warpriest's class features, except as noted below.

Saving Throws

The crafty warpriest has good saves against Reflex and Will but poor saves against Fortitude.

Weapon Proficiency

Crafty warpriests are proficient with all simple weapons, plus the cane sword, hand crossbow, longsword, rapier, sap, and short sword.

Trapfinding

A crafty warpriest adds ½ her level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks (minimum +1). A crafty warpriest can use Disable Device to disarm warpriestsc traps.

Sneak Fervor

At 2nd level, when a crafty warpriest hits an opponent whom she flanks or who is denied it's Dexterity bonus to armor class against her, she can channel fervor into the attack as a free action. Sneak fervor works with ranged attacks, but only to a range of 30 ft. If this hits a living or undead creature, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt or healed by the fervor ability. Both positive and negative energy used with sneak fervor can cause damage to both undead and living creatures. The target can make a Will save to halve this additional damage. If the attack misses, there is no effect.

This has no effect against creatures that are neither living or dead, such as constructs. The additional damage is not multiplied on a critical hit. Using sneak fervor is a free action that can be done with each attack and does not count against the daily uses of fervor. Against improved uncanny dodge, this ability works the same way as sneak attack does.

Sneak Spell

At 5th level, when crafty warpriests is able to use sneak fervor he is also able to use sneak spell against a target she could use sneak fervor against. Sneak spell adds sneak fervor damage to spells that cause damage and improves the save DC and any caster level checks (such as dispel checks or checks to penetrate spell resistance) for the spell by +1 per two dice of sneak fervor damage (minimum +1). Sneak spell and spell combat used together does not allow the crafty warpriest to add sneak attack damage twice to any one attack, but can cause both sneak attack damage and improve the saving throw DC or caster level check. Sneak spell affects all targets of an area spell.
