Starting at 6th level, a child of the wild can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She retains her Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if she is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. However, she still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. This replaces the combat style feat the ranger gains at 6th level.

Unofficial rules compendium

A child of the wild grew up in the wilderness, far from man and his trappings. Unfamiliar with many of man's tools, she has never grown to depend on such crutches.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

A child of the wild is proficient with all simple melee weapons and with the Axe (throwing), Battleaxe, Blowgun, Bola, Dart, Flail, Flail (heavy), Glaive, Greataxe, Greatclub, Greatsword, Hammer (light), Handaxe, Javelin, Longbow (normal and composite), Longsword, Sap, Scimitar, Shortbow (normal and composite), Shortsword, and Sling. A child of the wild is proficient with shields (except tower shields) but is not proficient with any armor.

AC Bonus (Ex)

When unarmored and unencumbered, the child of the wild adds her Wisdom bonus (if positive) as a dodge bonus to her armor class. In addition, a child of the wild gains a +1 dodge bonus to armor class at 1st level. This bonus increases by 1 for every five child of the wild levels thereafter (+2 at 10th, +3 at 15th, and +4 at 20th level). She loses this bonus when she when she wears any armor or when she carries a medium or heavy load.

Uncanny Dodge (Ex)

Starting at 6th level, a child of the wild can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She retains her Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if she is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. However, she still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. This replaces the combat style feat the ranger gains at 6th level.
