Among the Baklunish Boccob is the sane counterpart of of Ralishaz, the god of magic and understanding.

Boccob is the god of arcane magic in the Common pantheon, called the uncaring, arch-mage of the gods and patron of Wizardry. His agenda is to maintain, spread, and develop the use of magic; to see to it that what needs to be secret remains in wise hands while promulgating arcane knowledge as much as possible. He does not hoard arcane secrets, instead wishing all to embrace them. He encourages acceptance and the spread of ideas and is in many way the father of the Common culture.

In Synchretism Boccob is the god of magic, but even more so the spreader of knowledge and by extension the god of travel and trade. This is a concept that has low esteem among the elder races – it is only known to the dwarves, and to them it is Vengadain, god of suspicion, trickery, and trade. The Flan know him as Allituir the god of propriety. He gladly helps others to learn her wisdom, and has sponsored ascended mortals in all the human pantheons. Zilchus is the Oerdian god of prestige, money, and influence, Fharlanghn the Oerdian god of travel and roads. Mouqol is the Baklunish prophet of trade. Osprem is the Suel god of the sea and sea trade.
