The battle sorcerer is no weak arcanist, hiding behind the fighters. Instead, she is a capable physical combatant who mixes magical prowess with fighting skill.

Class Features

The battle sorcerer has all the standard sorcerer class features, except as noted below.

===Class Skills===: Add Intimidate to the battle sorcerer’s class skill list.

===Weapon and Armor Proficiency===: At 1st level, a battle sorcerer gains proficiency with all basic weapons and any one martial weapon of the character’s choice. She also gains proficiency with light armor. A battle sorcerer can cast sorcerer spells while in light armor without the normal arcane spell failure chance. A battle sorcerer that wears medium or heavy armor or that uses a shield of any kind is subject to arcane spell failure as normal.

===No Bloodline===: The battle sorcerer has no bloodline.

===Bonus Feats===: The battle sorcerer receives bonus feats as he advances in level. At level 7, 13, 19 he may select a bonus feat from the fighter's list of bonus feats. A battle sorcerer can select fighter-only feats as a fighter of his level. This replaces the bonus feats a sorcerer gets from his bloodline.

Arcane Pool (Su)

At 1st level, the battle sorcerer gains a reservoir of mystical arcane energy that he can draw upon to fuel his powers and enhance his weapon. This arcane pool has a number of points equal to 1/2 his battle sorcerer level (minimum 1) + his Charisma modifier. The pool refreshes once per day when the battle sorcerer prepares his spells.

At 1st level, a battle sorcerer can expend 1 point from his arcane pool as a swift action to grant any weapon he is holding a +1 enhancement bonus for 1 minute. For every four levels beyond 1st, the weapon gains another +1 enhancement bonus, to a maximum of +5 at 17th level. These bonuses can be added to the weapon, stacking with existing weapon enhancement to a maximum of +5. Multiple uses of this ability do not stack with themselves.

At 3rd level, these bonuses can be used to add any of the following weapon properties: dancing, flaming, flaming burst, frost, icy burst, keen, shock, shocking burst, speed, or vorpal.

Adding these properties consumes an amount of bonus equal to the property’s base price modifier. These properties are added to any the weapon already has, but duplicates do not stack. If the weapon is not magical, at least a +1 enhancement bonus must be added before any other properties can be added. These bonuses and properties are decided when the arcane pool point is spent and cannot be changed until the next time the battle sorcerer uses this ability. These bonuses do not function if the weapon is wielded by anyone other than the battle sorcerer.A battle sorcerer can only enhance one weapon in this way at one time. If he uses this ability again, the first use immediately ends.

This replaces all the sorcerer's bloodline powers.

Resilience

At level 2, the battle sorcerer receives a +1 bonus on all Fortitude saves. In addition, the battle sorcerer gains 2 additional hit points. The bonus to Fortitude saves increases by +1 every 4 levels, and the hit point bonus increases by one per two levels. This replaces the sorcerer's bloodline spells.
