This spell fails and ends when you are suffering any condition or take any damage. If you get agitated, characteristics of your true form may appear, such as the ears and tail of a kitsune using this spell. This forces additional Disguise checks to maintain the disguise. The focus item must be a lock of hair that belonged to a member of the selected race, and must be carried while the spell lasts; dropping or destroying it ends the spell.

You can assume the shape of a member of the humanoid race whose hair was used as a material component of the spell. The form assumed must be of Small or Medium size. This shape shares your general appearance and is easily recognized by anyone who knows you. You ignore the Disguise modifier for disguising yourself as a different race, but otherwise gain no bonus to Disguise. You lose any racial abilities your assumed race does not have, but do not gain the racial abilities of the assumed race.

This spell fails and ends if you take any damage or fail a saving throw. Saving throws you voluntarily fail do not cause the spell to end.
