This is an accessory attached to another weapon. A steel basket or cup over the hilt protects the hand of the user. It can be fitted on any light or one-handed weapon, but a weapon so fitted cannot be concealed, thrown or used in two hands. It allows the wearer to use the weapon to punch with the stated attributes, and also gives a +2 bonus on rolls to resist being disarmed. A weapon and its hilt is made into masterwork and magic weapons separately from each other.
