The grizzled ranger is a weather-bitten survivor of the wild lands, tough as nails with an untamed heart that beats with a will to survive.

Class Features

The grizzled ranger has all the standard ranger class features, except as noted below.

Class Skills

Add Acrobatics (Dex) to the grizzled ranger's list of class skills.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

The brave is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with shields (except tower shields). He is not proficient in any armor.

Way of the Body Armor Bonus (Ex)

As long as he is not wearing any armor, a grizzled ranger gains a circumstance bonus to natural armor equal to his Constitution bonus. He can use shields normally and the bonus stacks with both natural armor and with enchantment bonuses to natural armor.

Unarmed Attacks (ex)

The grizzled ranger gains the Improved Unarmed Combat feat as a bonus feat at level 1 and deals 1d6 (1d4 for a Small character) bludgeoning damage with an unarmed strike. This can be either lethal or nonlethal damage. A grizzled ranger gains his full Strength bonus on all fist attacks, even if fighting with to fists.

Living Resilience

At level 3, the grizzled ranger gains damage resistance 2/- against nonlethal damage only. This resistance increases by two at level 6, 10, 14, and 18, to a maximum of 10.

Living Armor

At 7th level and higher, all the grizzled ranger's natural armor protects from incorporeal touch attacks, as if it had the ghost touch quality.
