Channelling Wild Magic

When in the wild lands, a princess can attempt to harness and use the inherent raw magic in the area. In mechanical terms, a princess can use wild magic to add dice to aroll to a maximum of their Tender, with a minimum of 1 die. A princess has a Tender of 2 they can add up to 2 wild magic dice to a roll. A princess with Tender of 0 or 1 can add a single die. This works for any Action, not just magic. However, there are costs and risks to doing this.

  • You add 1 point of Chaos to the nearest kingdom for each additional die.
  • In addition to the Chaos and Consequence of the action, any doubles rolled trigger a local wild magic surge.

Wild Magic Surge

A wild magic surge can take the form of kinetic energy, elemental energy, life energy, or anything else the GM deems appropriate. It could be beneficial to the princess, or harmful. If desired, a fortune roll can be made to see how positive (or negative) the effects are, or you can use the Wild Magic Effects Table to generate a random surge.

Any effect of a Wild Magic Surge that directly affects a princess is considered a Consequence and can be resisted using the best Attribute.
