Some fighters survive and prosper based on the strength of their convictions and sheer force of personality.
This is a martial arts archetype deliberately designed to be as similar to the regular fighter as possible.
Class Information
The valiant is a fighter archetype and a practitioner of way of life martial arts.
Role: Valiants fight in the forefront alongside paladins, barbarians, and other melee combatants, using presence and verve to survive.
Alignment: Any.
Hit Die: d10.
Class Skills
The valiant's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (local) (Int), Knowledge (nobility) (Int), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), and Swim (Str).
Skill Ranks at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier.
Class Features
These are all the class features of the valiant.
Armor and Weapon Proficiency
Valiants are proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with light armor and shields (excluding tower shields).
Way of Life Armor Bonus (Ex)
When wearing light or no armor, the valiant adds his Charisma bonus (if positive) as a dodge modifier to armor class and CMD. He loses this bonus when he wears medium or heavy armor, when he carries a medium or heavy load, or when he is denied his Dexterity bonus to armor class.. The valiant can use his way of life armor bonus with a shield.
Light Armor Training (Ex)
A valiant's armor training ability never applies to medium or heavy armor. This modifies the armor training class feature.
