Animal Follower (General)
You own an exceptional animal, most often a mount.
Prerequisites: Animal Handling 4 ranks
Benefit: Gain a limited version of the druids animal companion (PH 36). Your animal follower never learns any special abilities of an animal companion: share spells, evasion, devotion, multiattack, or improved evasion. It otherwise functions as an animal companion, but it is not a prerequisite for any ability that requires an animal companion.
Special: If you have a special mount or familiar, you have the option to give up that ability, and instead gain the full animal companion, including the special abilities.
