In real life, bokor are sorcerers in the vodun religion. In Pathfinder bokor are shamans who 'serve with both hands', meaning that they practice both dark magic and light magic. They have a focus on death and the undead, but also work with many kinds of spirits, both high and low.

Class Abilities

The bokor man has all normal shaman class abilities, except as noted.

Spell List

Add the following to the bokor's spell list. These spells do not automatically become known to the bokor and must be added to known spells in the usual fashion.

1st level - cause fear.

3rd level - command undead, speak with dead.

4th level - animate dead.

5th level - dominate person.

6th level - create undead.

9th level - soul bind.

This replaces spirit guide, guide concentration, guide walk, and spirit loyalty.

Turn and Control Undead

At 2nd level and again at 4th level you gain a bonus feat chosen from Control Undead and Turn Undead. This replaces placate spirit and ghost body.

Consecrate and Desecrate (Sp)

At 6th level, you can use consecrate and desecrate as spell like abilities, at will. Each use is a ten minute ritual. This replaces warding of the spirits.

Lease on Life (Sp)

At 10th level, once per day, you can cast temporary resurrection. This is a 10-minute ritual but requires no material components and replaces ghost warrior. The target need not be willing, and can be bound prior to resurrection.

Resurrection (Sp)

At 19th level, once per day, you can cast true resurrection. This is a 10-minute ritual that requires the sacrifice of living animals or slaves to a value of no less than 25,000 gp. This replaces ghost general.
