A stock light revolver, typically a .32 "Navy" caliber gun. Common in both civilian and military use.
Properly, only single-action revolvers have the slow property, but double action was still somewhat unreliable in the steam era. In the combustion era double-action is perfected, making revolvers functionally identical to automatic pistols in Action.
