Pure clerics or non-domain clerics believe in one great divine principle, that does not concern itself with the minutiae of the world as expressed in domains. All divine power is one, and focusing on domains is to the detriment of genuine divine power. Pure clerics are common in monotheistic and philosophical religions. Note that religions that have pure clerics can still have subsidiary gods or saints can have regular clerics that use domains. Thus clerics and pure clerics can exist in the same faith, but often at odds with one another.
Class Abilities
The following class abilities are affected by this archetype:
Enhanced Heal/Inflict
When a pure cleric uses a cure/inflict spell, she the spell's level to the hit points cured or inflicted, and the maximum level bonus is doubled. Thus a cure light wounds spell cast by a 3rd level pure cleric heals 1d8+4 points of damage, with a maximum of 1d8+6 points of damage at level 5. This also applies to such spells from spell trigger and spell completion items (scrolls, wands, staves) used by the pure cleric.
Divine Gift (Su)
A pure cleric receives the divine gift ability at level 2. Once per day the pure cleric can cast any one spell that is on the cleric spell list which and is capable of casting without expending a prepared spell, even if the spell is not prepared. This spell is treated like any other spell, including casting time, duration, and other effects dependent on the cleric's level. This spell cannot be modified by metamagic feats or other abilities.
Dismiss Falsehood
At 4th level and higher, when a pure cleric makes a dispel check or caster level check to see if her spells can negate other spells, spell-like abilities, supernatural abilities, or curses, add +5 to the result.
Bonus Faith Feats
At level 6, and every four levels after that, the pure cleric gains a bonus feat. This must be a channeling feat or metamagic feat.
Aura of Serenity (Sp)
If You Meet The Buddha On The Road, Kill Her - Attributed to Zen Master Linji
A pure cleric of 8th level can use sanctuary at will. This is a full-round action, and lasts until dispelled or broken by an action from the pure cleric. The save DC against this ability is 10 + ½ the pure cleric's level + Wisdom modifier. Unlike the spell, using channel energy to inflict harm does not count as an attack and does not end the protection, but does grant each harmed creature an additional saving throw to negate the aura of serenity. A creature that saves against this ability cannot be affected by that pure cleric's aura of serenity again for 24 hours.
Endless Well
At level 12, a pure cleric can use channeled energy to restore spells she has previously cast. By expanding a use of channel energy as a standard action, the pure cleric can restore prepared spells at the rate of one spell level per die of energy she normally channels.
Versatile Channel (Su)
At 16th level, a pure cleric’s channel energy can instead affect a 60-foot cone or a 120-foot line.
Abundant Skies
At level 20, when using the endless well ability, the pure cleric can restore expended spells with any spell that fits in that spell slot, not just a spell that was previously prepared.
No Domains
The pure cleric lacks domains and domain spell slots.
