The noble savage is a barbarian brought up in the Way of Life. A warrior whose honor and integrity have been honed by the struggle for survival, he is as much a noble as any lord from civilized lands.
Class Abilities
The noble savage has all the class abilities of the barbarian, except as noted below.
Class Skills
The noble savage's class skills are Acrobatics (Dex), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Perception (Wis), Perform (Cha), Ride (Dex), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).
Skills in italics (Diplomacy and Perform) are new to this archetype.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
A noble savage is proficient with all simple melee weapons and with the Axe (throwing), Battleaxe, Greataxe, Greatclub, Greatsword, Handaxe, Javelin, Longbow (normal and composite), Longsword, Sap, Shortbow (normal and composite), Shortsword, and Sling. A noble savage is proficient with shields (except tower shields) but not with any armor.
Fast Movement (Ex)
A noble savage's land speed is faster than the norm for her race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when he is wearing no armor and not carrying a medium or heavy load. This bonus stacks with any other bonuses to the barbarian's land speed. This modifies the fast movement ability of the barbarian.
Way of Life Armor Bonus (Ex)
When unarmored and unencumbered, the noble savage adds his Charisma bonus (if positive) as a dodge modifier to armor class and CMD. He loses this bonus when he wears any armor, uses a shield, when he carries a medium or heavy load, or when he is denied his Dexterity bonus to armor class.
Disciplined Rage
At 7th level, a noble savage can call upon his integrity to use rage powers without actually raging. Each minute (or part thereof) of using disciplined rage counts as one round of normal rage against daily rage limits and for how long the fatuige lasts afterwards. During this time, the noble savage can use rage powers as if raging, but there is no other effect. The noble savage can switch between using disciplined rage and normal rage as a free action. Powers limited to a certain number of uses per rage count any continuous use of range and disciplined rage as a single use of rage.
At 10th level, each ten minutes of disciplined rage counts as one round of raging. At 13th level, every hour using disciplined rage counts as one round of raging. At 19th level, the noble savage can use rage powers at any time.
This ability replaces damage reduction.
