Kitusne Racial Traits
These are Greyhawk racial traits for kitsune.
Elusive Shifter
When you use your kitsune Change Shape ability, you can also make an Escape Artist attempt as if you had just spent the action required to try and escape. If this fails, you cannot try this ability again against the same opponent for 24 hours. Escape Artist is a class skill for you.
Finest Fox Furs
In your humanoid fox form, you have the ability to always look impressive and fit right in. You always count as appropriately dressed for whatever social occasion you are in. This overcomes social rules on clothing—not on race.
Fox's Cache
When you use your kitsune Change Shape ability, you can merge one item small enough to hold in your hand into your new form. This item is unavailable until you next shift back.
Fox Seasons
When you use your kitsune Change Shape ability, you can change the color of your fur to any color a natural fox could have (white, dark grey, orange, red, tan), and you can change the color of your hair and clothes into such colors as well. You cannot otherwise alter your appearance.
Nose for Trouble (Racial)
You have an uncanny ability to stick your nose into trouble. Onece per day you can make a Diplomacy check against a DC of 10 + the challenge rating to trigger an encounter, either a random or prepared encounter as appropriate to the scenario. On a success you stumble on some of their illicit activities, or maybe just see thugs out bullying people. If you are alone when you use this ability, you always have surprise, when you are with allies, you and your allies are not surprised. This only works when there are goons to be found.
Kitsune Racial Feats
Cosmopolitan Kitsune (General)
You can imitate any humanoid species whose language you know.
Prerequisite: Kitsune, Linguistics 1 rank.
Benefit: When using the kitsune racial ability to change shape, you can assume the form of any species of humanoid whose language you know. You get a +10 bonus on Disguise checks to appear as someone of the chosen species, but you assume the same shape each time you change into a certain species, and this shape resembles your human form. Observers familiar with your human form get the same Perception bonus as those familiar with someone you impersonate ordinarily would based on their familiarity to you.
The benefit combines with other improvements on change shape, such as the Realistic Likeness feat, tough that feat overcomes the resemblance to your ordinary form.
Normal: Kitsune can only assume the form of humans.
