In a barbarian culture, what outsiders would consider superstitions has real power. One such power is the mark of fate, the sign of greatness that some young barbarians show, balanced by a price or geas they suffer.

Class Information

This is a martial arts archetype

Starting Money: 3d6 × 10 gp (average 105 gp)

Class: Barbarian.

Hit Die: d12.

Class Abilities

The doomed barbarian has all the class abilities of the barbarian, except as noted below.

Barbarian Doom

A doomed barbarian suffers under a doomed warrior's doom. All references to the oracle or doom warrior class instead apply to doomed barbarian levels. This replaces the damage reduction gained at level 10 and 16.

Foreswearing (Ex)

At level 7, the doomed barbarian can swear a death oath against a creature as a full-round action. This oath lasts until either the creature or the barbarian is killed or destroyed or until the barbarian receives atonement. A round in which the doomed barbarian hits this specific enemy with a physical attack and inflicts lethal damage does not count against the her daily limit on rage rounds. The doomed barbarian can only forswear a creature once per day, and can have a total number of forsworn enemies at once equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 1). This replaces the damage reduction gained at level 7.

Fated Enemy (Su)

At 13th level, when attacking a foresworn enemy, the doomed barbarian's attacks ignores any damage reduction or hardness the target may have. This replaces the damage reduction gained at level 13.

Fated Slayer (Su)

At 19th level, when the doomed barbarian attacks a foresworn enemy, her attacks bypass all kinds of resistance, temporary hit points, incorporealness, etherealness, regeneration, or other damage preventing or damage redirecting ability. This replaces the damage reduction gained at level 19.

Summary of Lost Class Abilities

These abilities of the original class are lost or modified in this archetype:
