=== Spells ===
 +
A bloodline magus casts arcane spells drawn from the magus spell list. He can cast any spell he knows without preparing it ahead of time, assuming he has not yet used up his allotment of spells per day for the spell’s level.
 +

 +
To learn or cast a spell, a bloodline magus must have a Charisma score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a bloodline magus’s spell is 10 + the spell level + the bloodline magus’ Charisma modifier.
 +
A bloodline magus can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level each day. His base daily spell allotment is given on Table: Bloodline magus Spells. In addition, he receives bonus spells per day if he has a high Charisma score (see Table: Ability Modifiers and Bonus Spells).

A bloodline magus’ selection of spells is extremely limited. A bloodline magus begins play knowing four 0-level spells and two 1st-level spells of the bloodline magus’ choice. At each new bloodline magus level, he gains one or more new spells as indicated on Table: Bloodline Magus Spells . (Unlike spells per day, the number of spells a bloodline magus knows is not affected by his Charisma score. The numbers on Table: Bloodline Magus Spells are fixed.)
 +

 +
Upon reaching 4th level, and at every third bloodline magus level thereafter (7th, 10th, and so on), a bloodline magus can choose to learn a new spell in place of one he already knows. In effect, the bloodline magus “loses” the old spell in exchange for the new one. The new spell’s level must be the same as that of the spell being exchanged. A bloodline magus may swap out only a single spell at any given level and must choose whether or not to swap the spell at the same time that he gains new spells known for the level.

 +
'''Cantrips:'''
 +
Bloodline magi learn a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells, as noted on Table: Bloodline Magus Spells Known. These spells are cast like any other spell, but they do not consume any slots and may be used again.

 +
=== Arcane Pool ===
 +
A bloodline magus' arcane pool has a number of points equal to ½ his magus level (minimum 1) + his Charisma modifier and is renewed when the bloodline magus renews his spell slots. This is otherwise just as the magus' arcane pool.

=== Battle Bloodline ===

A bloodline magus has a [http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/sorcerer#TOC-Bloodline bloodline] similar to that of a sorcerer. Each bloodline magus has a source of magic somewhere in his heritage that grants his spells, bonus feats, an additional class skill, and other special abilities. This source can represent a blood relation or an extreme event involving a creature somewhere in the family's past. A bloodline magus must pick one bloodline upon taking his first level of bloodline magus. Once made, this choice cannot be changed.

A bloodline magus gains class skills and powers from his bloodline as a sorcerer of his bloodline magus level. If a skill granted by the bloodline is already a class skill, there is no benefit.
 +

 +
At 2nd level, and every three levels thereafter until level 17, a bloodline magus learns an additional spell, derived from his bloodline. These spells are added to the bloodline magus' spell list at their sorcerer spell level and also added to his list of known spells and are in addition to the number of spells given on Table: Bloodline Magus Spells. He can cast these spells without the normal chance of arcane spell failure just as he can with magus spells. These spells cannot be exchanged for different spells at higher levels. Note that the rate of progression is different from that given in the bloodline description (which applies to sorcerers). Spells are gained at the rate given in Table: Bloodline Magus Bloodline Spells.
 +

 +
At 5th level, and every six levels thereafter, a bloodline magus gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement. These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats or as bonus feats for his bloodline. He must meet the prerequisites for these feats as normal.

This replaces the knowledge pool (lvl 7), magus arcana (lvl 3, 9, 15), bonus feats (lvl 5, 11, 17), greater spell access (lvl 19), and true magus (lvl 20) abilities.

===Class Skills===
+
=== Eschew Materials ===
Add Intimidate to the battle sorcerer’s class skill list.
+
A bloodline magus gains Eschew Materials as a bonus feat at 1st level.

===Weapon and Armor Proficiency===
+
=== Magus Arcana ===
At 1st level, a battle sorcerer gains proficiency with all basic weapons and any one martial weapon of the character’s choice. She also gains proficiency with light armor. A battle sorcerer can cast sorcerer spells while in light armor without the normal arcane spell failure chance. A battle sorcerer that wears medium or heavy armor or that uses a shield of any kind is subject to arcane spell failure as normal.
+
This is the same as the magus class features, except that any abilities based on Intelligence instead uses Charisma.

===No Bloodline===
+
=== Overspend Power (Su) ===
The battle sorcerer has no bloodline.
+
At 4th level, the bloodline magus learns to use his arcane pool to power spells. When out of spell slots of a certain level, the bloodline magus can still cast such a spell by expending a number of points from his arcane pool equal to the spell’s level (minimum 1). This replaces the spell recall ability normally gained at level 4.

===Bonus Feats===
+
=== Spell Combat ===
The battle sorcerer receives bonus feats as he advances in level. At level 7, 13, 19 he may select a bonus feat from the fighter's list of bonus feats. A battle sorcerer can select fighter-only feats as a fighter of his level. This replaces the bonus feats a sorcerer gets from his bloodline.
+
At 6th level, the bloodline magus learns spell combat. This is the same as the magus ability of the same name except that when using spell combat to casts a spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Charisma (rather than Intelligence) bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. This is a modification to the Spell Combat ability.

===Arcane Pool (Su)===
+
=== Bloodline Arcana  ===
At 1st level, the battle sorcerer gains a reservoir of mystical arcane energy that he can draw upon to fuel his powers and enhance his weapon. This arcane pool has a number of points equal to 1/2 his battle sorcerer level (minimum 1) + his Charisma modifier. The pool refreshes once per day when the battle sorcerer prepares his spells.
+
At 7th level, the bloodline magus gains the bloodline arcana for his chosen bloodline.

At 1st level, a battle sorcerer can expend 1 point from his arcane pool as a swift action to grant any weapon he is holding a +1 enhancement bonus for 1 minute. For every four levels beyond 1st, the weapon gains another +1 enhancement bonus, to a maximum of +5 at 17th level. These bonuses can be added to the weapon, stacking with existing weapon enhancement to a maximum of +5. Multiple uses of this ability do not stack with themselves.
+
=== Improved Overspend Power (Su) ===
 +
At 11th level, the bloodline magus’ ability to overspend on powers using his arcane pool becomes more efficient. Whenever he casts a spell with overspend power, he expends a number of points from his arcane pool equal to ½ the spell’s level (minimum 1). This replaces improved spell recall.

At 3rd level, these bonuses can be used to add any of the following weapon properties: ''dancing, flaming, flaming burst, frost, icy burst, keen, shock, shocking burst, speed'', or ''vorpal''.
+
=== Overspend Bloodline ===
+
At level 16, the bloodline magus can renew his daily uses of any one bloodline ability at the cost of two points from the arcane pool. This ability replaces counterstrike.
Adding these properties consumes an amount of bonus equal to the property’s base price modifier. These properties are added to any the weapon already has, but duplicates do not stack. If the weapon is not magical, at least a +1 enhancement bonus must be added before any other properties can be added. These bonuses and properties are decided when the arcane pool point is spent and cannot be changed until the next time the battle sorcerer uses this ability. These bonuses do not function if the weapon is wielded by anyone other than the battle sorcerer.A battle sorcerer can only enhance one weapon in this way at one time. If he uses this ability again, the first use immediately ends.

This replaces all the sorcerer's bloodline powers.

The bloodline magus has the same relationship to the sorcerer that a normal magus has to the wizard. It is a terror in battle, using arcane might, a monstrous heritage, and raw fighting skill in combination to dominate and overawe opponents.

Class Information

This is a hybrid class, a combination of magus and sorcerer.

Hit dice: d8.

Class Features

The bloodline magus has all the standard magus class features, except as noted below.

Spells

A bloodline magus casts arcane spells drawn from the magus spell list. He can cast any spell he knows without preparing it ahead of time, assuming he has not yet used up his allotment of spells per day for the spell’s level.

To learn or cast a spell, a bloodline magus must have a Charisma score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a bloodline magus’s spell is 10 + the spell level + the bloodline magus’ Charisma modifier.

Cantrips: Bloodline magi learn a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells, as noted on Table: Bloodline Magus Spells Known. These spells are cast like any other spell, but they do not consume any slots and may be used again.

Arcane Pool

A bloodline magus' arcane pool has a number of points equal to ½ his magus level (minimum 1) + his Charisma modifier and is renewed when the bloodline magus renews his spell slots. This is otherwise just as the magus' arcane pool.

Battle Bloodline

A bloodline magus has a bloodline similar to that of a sorcerer.

Eschew Materials

A bloodline magus gains Eschew Materials as a bonus feat at 1st level.

Magus Arcana

This is the same as the magus class features, except that any abilities based on Intelligence instead uses Charisma.

Overspend Power (Su)

At 4th level, the bloodline magus learns to use his arcane pool to power spells. When out of spell slots of a certain level, the bloodline magus can still cast such a spell by expending a number of points from his arcane pool equal to the spell’s level (minimum 1). This replaces the spell recall ability normally gained at level 4.

Spell Combat

At 6th level, the bloodline magus learns spell combat. This is the same as the magus ability of the same name except that when using spell combat to casts a spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Charisma (rather than Intelligence) bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. This is a modification to the Spell Combat ability.

Bloodline Arcana

At 7th level, the bloodline magus gains the bloodline arcana for his chosen bloodline.

Improved Overspend Power (Su)

At 11th level, the bloodline magus’ ability to overspend on powers using his arcane pool becomes more efficient. Whenever he casts a spell with overspend power, he expends a number of points from his arcane pool equal to ½ the spell’s level (minimum 1). This replaces improved spell recall.

Overspend Bloodline

At level 16, the bloodline magus can renew his daily uses of any one bloodline ability at the cost of two points from the arcane pool. This ability replaces counterstrike.
