The ISA is a heavy industrialized, hyper-capitalistic nation. It is troubled by isolation, constant labor disputes (fueled by the People's Collective), gangsterism, fascist tendencies and a general xenophobia. Definitely a good candidate for bad-guy status in the campaign.
Consisting of the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
The ISA is a dry country, but liquor is widely available and cheap, so even low-class dives serve it. It is said that the ISA would become a wet nation overnight, if only the mobsters would allow it.
The ISA has been putting large amounts of pressure on Ontario for a joint administration of the canals leading to the Atlantic. Thuis was acheived after the St. Andrews incident of '37. The situation is still tense.
