Background

A member of the original Miscatonic university expedition to the Antarctic, he returned firmly convinced that man should never return there. He tried to threathen and browbeat the expeditions of 1937 into cancelling their plans, but when this failed he joined the Lexington expedition under the assumed name Kyle Williams.

He tried to sabotage both expeditions, and mannaged to destroy a total of three planes (out of five), but in the end he was caught. He escaped and ran madly into the caves, only to be captured by the Tasslalians. These left him as a sacrifice in The Tower, where he was saved by the heroes, only to be kept as a prisoner.

He was present when the Unknown God almost awakened, vitnessed how Uhr went mad, and stayed catatonic for the rest of the expedition.
