It is not certain if Durienne is the Second Swamp Mage, but many things point to this. When Jason Raenech usurped the throne in Osoerde, he claimed to have killed this lady, but shortly thereafter, a mysterious mage appeared and took the name The Second Swamp Mage, obviously in jest at the title of the [first] Swamp Mage. As this new power already had a chain of sources going, it is generally assumed that she is the old lady Durienne, returned to help the son of her old liege. It could be an heir.
