Description

Tritons are physically very similar to men, only the twin fish tails they have instead of legs set them apart. Those encountered by men are often the higher classes, and are well-built and beautiful.

In fact, tritons and men appear very beautiful to one another, and the physical attraction between the races is very strong, so strong that tritons generally avoid humans in order to avoid obsessive romantic entanglements. Tritons avoid human coasts, cultivate a fierce and cruel image and make treaties forbidding humans entry into their waters, in order to avoid the chaos humans bring to triton society.

In their own submerged realms, tritons have cities, castles, palaces and all the trappings of civilization. They have domesticated fish, dolphins and giant crustaceans and live comfortable lives down below. There is little need for trade or contact with the surface. Besides, many surface goods can't stand the water, and many triton items lose their usefulness and luster on dry land.

All tritons are natural water-breathers and swimmers, with half move and required continuos actions on land. They must also hold their breath like a human under water.
