Shapedancer is a paragon path for 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons.

I am everyone!

You become a master of many forms, a face dancer and body shifter who adapts to every situation. The shapedancer balances between the power of the arcane and the primal, dancing between the uncertain nature of the fey and the animalistic power of the primal.

Path Feat

Shapedance [Path]

Benefit: You gain access to the Shapedance power.

Shapedance Feat Utility Power
Your form becomes malleable and shifting as you assume a new shape
DailyArcane, Stance, Alter Form
Standard Action      Personal
Effect: You change your shape into one suitable for a specific skill, this form need not be a creature that exists. Chose one skill appropriate to the shape assumed when activating Shapedance; you gain a +2 power bonus to skill checks when using this specific skill until the end of the encounter.

Paragon Path

Prerequisite: One or more of the following:

  • Member of an Arcane class
  • Member of a Primal class
  • Fey racial origin
  • Racial ability to change shape, such as a Shifter or Changeling has

Shapedancer Paragon Path Features

Shapedancer Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to gain an extra action, you also gain a free use of Shapedance Focus power that counts neither as an action nor against the limit on uses per encounter.

Shapedancer Pause (11th level): When you use Second Wind, you also gain a free use of Shapedance Focus power that counts neither as an action nor against the limit on uses per encounter.

Shapedancer Escape (11th level): When you fail a saving throw while using the Shapedance Focus stance, you can reroll the saving throw, accepting the second result. If you do so, your Shapedance Focus stance ends.

Shapedancer Flight (16th level): Your Shapedance Mobility power improves to allow flight.

Shapedancer Spells

Shapedance Focus Shapedancer Attack 11
Your form becomes malleable and shifting as you assume the shape most suited to the occasion.

Minor Action      Personal
Effect: You change your shape into one suitable for a specific skill or attack. The shape you assume need not be an existing creature. Chose a single attack power or skill appropriate to the shape assumed when activating Shapedance Focus. Until you rest or use this power again, retain the chosen shape and gain a +2 power bonus to attack rolls or skill checks when using this specific power or skill. You can cancel this effect and regain your normal shape as a minor action.

Attack: You can make a basic attack as a part of this transformation. You do not get this attack if you used this power as a result of your Shapedancer Action or Shapedancer Pause path features.

Shapedance Mobility Shapedancer Utility 12
Suddenly, you grow fins!
DailyArcane, Alter Form, Polymorph
Minor Action      Personal
Effect: You change your shape into one that lets you move more freely, this need not be an existing creature. The change lasts until you rest, or you can end it as a minor action. You gain one of the following benefits.
  • Climb speed equal to your normal speed.
  • Aquatic keyword and swim speed equal to your normal speed.
  • Ability to ignore difficult ground
  • +5 bonus to Jump and the ability to make running jumps when standing still
  • Level 16: You can choose to gain flight 8 (hover) when you use this power, but in this case the power lasts until the end of the encounter.
Shapedance Avatar Shapedancer Attack 20
Your body blurs and changes into an avatar of power!

Effect: You change into a winged monstrous version of yourself until the end of the encounter. In this shape, you gain flight at your normal speed and a +2 power bonus to AC, Reflex, and Fortitude defense and to damage inflicted.

Attack: You can make a charge or a basic attack as a part of this transformation.
