The plucky mage is the ideal magic hero. With the help of luck and her magical pet or memento she makes a fools of enemies and charms her way through the world. Plucky mages are always spunky, often have sad origins they only share with the closest of friends.

Skill Points at each level: 6 + Int modifier. This replaces sorcerer bloodline feats and powers.

Class Features

This archetype has all normal class features, except as noted.

Arcane Bond (Su)

At 1st level, the plucky sorcerer gains an arcane bond, as a wizard of a level equal to her sorcerer level. This ability does not allow both a familiar and a bonded item. Arcane bind replaces bloodline arcana. Sorcerer levels stack with levels in another class that grants a familiar or bonded object when determining the powers of the familiar or bonded object.

If the plucky sorcerer picks a bonded object, it is generally a memento of a mentor, parent, or loved one. Once per day, the bonded item allows her to cast any one spell on spell list of a level she can cast (unlike a wizard’s bonded item, which allows her to cast any one spell in her spellbook). Besides the normal options for bond items, it can be any kind of small personal object. In this case it need only be in the sorcerer's possession to not hinder spellcasting, but must be held in hand to be used to cast a spell.

Bonus Spells

A plucky mage learns the following spells at the indicated levels, adding them to her known spells and spell list, as applicable. This replaces bloodline bonus spells.

Mage armor (3rd), find traps (as a 2nd level sorcerer spell) (5th), haste (7th), arcane eye (9th), telepathic bond (11th), getaway (13th), mage's magnificent mansion (15th), binding (17th), freedom (19th).
