Penalty: You have a -6 competence penalty on Charisma checks and Charisma-based skill checks if good appearance matters. If appearance doesn't matter, or if you use magic to disguise yourself, you still suffer a -2 competence penalty on these skill checks.
You do not get a penalty on Intimidate, as your frightful appearance is more of a bonus then. Instead, you get a +2 competence bonus on Intimidate checks.
