SpecialAmmunition can be used with projectile weapons. These ammo types have a cost multiple which is applied to the base ammunition price.

Full rules for for SpecialAmmunition can be found in ImperialSupply on page 67. The types available in the DarkStar campaign are listed below. Please note that the ammuniton types below are not identical to those in ImperialSupply.

Type Cost Effect
HP x1.5 Double armor and hardness. Double damage.
AP x2 Ignore 5 points of hardness.
HE x1.5 Weapon inflicts fire damage instead of physical damage.
HEAP x2.5 Ignore 5 points of hardness. Weapon inflicts fire damage instead of physical damage.
Hellfire x3 Weapon inflicts physical damage plus 3 doses of radiation damage.
Incendiary x1.5 Double armor and hardness. Weapon inflicts triple base fire damage. First range increment only.
Stun x1 Half damage (subdual). Objects take 1/4 damage (lethal).
Adamantine x5 Ignore 10 points of hardness

Railgun Ammunition

Special ammunition for railguns cost x3 the listed amount.
