Tentacles

You have long tentacle(s) attached to some part of your monstrous anatomy. You can use these to attack enemies in hand-to-hand combat while keeping your own vital parts out of harm's way. Your tentacles are elastic and can stretch a maximum distance equal to your Magic attribute in meters. Use your Creature Powers skill to hit opponents with your tentacles rather than your Martial Arts skill.

The number of tentacles you have is equal to the arithmetic sum of the number of schticks you spend on this ability. With one schtick, this is one tentacle, with two schticks this is (1+2=3) tentacles, with three schticks this is (1+2+3=6) tentacles and so on.

If you have several schticks of tentacles, a number equal to your number of schtick picks can attack at once against one or several opponents as a single 3-shot action. The rest are too uncoordinated to be used, but serve as backups for ones lost in combat.

Tentacles can be just about anything. A swarm of insects, flying scarves, tree roots, animated water, anything is possible. Damage immunity to Unarmed Attacks rather than against Creature Powers protects against basic flesh tentacles, but other forms are resisted by Damage immunity to Creature Powers.

Each tentacle does your Strength in damage. Tentacles work well with Abysmal Spines or Elemental Aura, but the later loses two points of effect when used through tentacles.

Tentacles can fully regenerate after being severed, and always do so at the end of each session. If you do have the Regeneration schtick you may regrow one tentacle per schtick you have in Regeneration at the end of a Sequence instaed of regenerating Wound Points in the normal manner.

Opponents engaging you in hand to-hand combat are normally unable to hit anything other than your tentacles, unless they inventively use stunts or a movement-oriented power like Prodigious Leap.
